PR's Promoting the Hiring of C-Tech Graduates
Leading Telecommunications companies (Berk-Tek, CABA, Dymo Industrial, Graybar, Hubbell Premise Wiring, IDEAL Industries, Leviton Integrated Networks, Leviton Voice & Data, Omnitron Systems Technology, Inc., On-Q Home, Radiall, Siemon, Specified Technologies Inc., Wachter and Wiretracks) have reviewed the C-Tech curriculum for content and applicability and are promoting the hiring of C-Tech graduates to their networks of dealers.

Todd Harpel, Marketing Manager, Berk-Tek, A Nexans Company (www.berktek.com)
We entered into this agreement with C-Tech because we saw an opportunity to provide an added-value service to our network of over 400 OASIS Certified Integrators in the US and around the world. By hiring C-Tech certified specialists, we are confident that our Integrators will see the immediate benefit of employing entry-level technicians with a standard, basic skills set.  We are always looking for ways to better serve our OASIS Integrators.  By assisting them in creating relationships with local training providers, we see a tremendous benefit for the integrators, the schools and especially the students as they begin their careers. We want to help provide students with this opportunity.

Kevin LaRue, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Radiall (www.radiallusa.com)
Radiall, Inc. has reviewed the C-TECH PREP curriculum for content and applicability in the marketplace and will be promoting the hiring of C-Tech certified Network Cabling Specialists to its value-added partners and customers across the United States.  Radiall, Inc. has entered into this agreement with C-Tech Associates because we understand the value of having access to well-trained network cabling technicians, particularly with expertise in fiber optic termination technology. We are urging those value-added houses with whom we are associated, and also our customers, to take advantage of the training of C-Tech graduates, and bring them on board into their companies.

J. Nicholas Caruso, Instructor, Carver Magnet High School in Houston, Texas
Because of the C-tech Certification two students were hired by South Western Bell without the usual HR interviewing. I told them to attach a copy of their C-Tech Certificate to their resume and they did. When SWB's HR department saw the certificate they were taken to the foreman in charge of technicians and they were hired. Nice job C-Tech.

I also have a student, Leonard Parker, who qualified for a full scholarship to Stanford Univ. where he wants to student Electrical Engineering because of his C-Tech training in copper and Fiber. Last year I had a student, Norma Leos, who made Harvard Univ., on a full scholarship where she wants to study Elec. Eng with a Business Minor. Last year one of my C-Tech students, Maurice Petrie, opened his own Networking and cabling company. He is working hard to become establish and successful. He told me that because of C-Tech's training, he decided to start his own company.

This year I have prepared 34 students for their C-Tech Copper Certification. The same students are working on their Fiber Certification. Since I have implemented C-Tech's Training Program here at Carver Magnet High School, we have certified over 150 Carver students as Network Cabling Specialist.

Steve Miller, Instructional Assistant, Central Westmoreland Career & Technology Center, PA
The Integrated Systems program is excellent!  As a former installer, I think that this program is exceptionally well laid out from A-to-Z.  A graduate of this program will have an enormous head start into the field of Key System installation.  There will be a massive amount of use of this course within our program.  I will urge all students to participate.

Gary Bell , Instructor,  Network Technology Program, Francis Tuttle Technology Center, OK
The objectives of the Tier 2 and Tier 3 C-Tech programs offer a primary and secondary benefit to the Francis Tuttle Network Technology program. The primary benefit contributes to our networking curriculum by providing physical connectivity knowledge and skills, giving students a more rounded basic education in IT. The secondary benefit is to introduce students to cabling as a career path. Both objectives have proven successful.

William Shipe, Instructor, Electrical Systems Technology, SUN Area Career & Technical Center, PA
The C-Tech program is a great value-added addition to my existing program. It fits into my existing curriculum without a great deal of modification, and the students are getting jobs after graduation by emphasizing network cabling skills on their resumes.

Bruce Lucas, Electronics Instructor, Essex County Vocational Technical Schools, NJ
C-Tech's programs are adaptable to high school students.  In a vocational environment, C-Tech gives students a means of valuable training along with basic electrical and electronics course work.  To the adults, C-Tech provides the adults a leap of faith when changing career fields.  And lastly, it's not all computers and dotcoms out there in the workforce; it's also Telephony and related telecommunications.  C-Tech provides tangible technical learning experiences.

Brad Elwood, Telecommunications Instructor, Central Westmoreland Career & Technical Center, PA
I like the fact that the C-Tech programs are well-written and include all tests and quizzes.  I like that the books and supplies are boxed and ready to go because it saves me a lot of time outside of class.  I also like that when the students complete the program, they will receive a certificate from industry showing their competence at a particular skill set.

Kevin Woodruff, Instructor, Atterbury Job Corps Center, IN
As for what C-Tech does for me...does sanity count?  It gives an excellent core curriculum for these students to get a foot in the industry's door, and allows them to create a career in a field that is vastly growing in this nation, despite the economy, and with little or no foreknowledge of subject.

Administrators:

Brenda Naliboff, Assistant Principal, Career and Technical, Chelsea High School, NY
The demonstration and discussion of career opportunities in the cabling and communications fields motivated our students.  The students' enthusiasm for the C-Tech curriculum has been consistently high.  An attendance/absence rate of 99% for C-Tech compared to an overall rate of 86% for other 10th grade students reflects this enthusiasm.

Clarence Marks, Chair, Dept. of Electronics Technology, Los Angeles Trade-Technical College, CA
We are very pleased with the C-Tech Network Cabling Specialist  and Fiber Optics programs because they fit very well into our Electronics Technology, Electronics Communications, and Microcomputer Technician curriculum.  The ways we have scheduled these classes as adjuncts to our regular degree programs, have permitted us to grow significantly.  The demand for these classes has continued, unabated, since 1999.

Tina Nelson, Director, Intersect Technology Institute, CA
The C-Tech program has offered us the opportunity to train young men and women in the field of telecommunications. We depend on you, C-Tech, to keep your curriculum up to date in this ever-changing field of telecommunications. The Student Kit approach puts into the hands of the students, not only the curriculum, but also all of the necessary supplies to support their studies. The curriculum is very well written and crosses over into all of the different learning levels/styles. The hands-on approach appeals to learners of this field...The contractors that walk our school are extremely impressed with C-Tech curriculum.

I took the C-Tech CNCS course a little over a year ago. After passing the final test and receiving my certification I began working for a broadband services contractor with Time-Warner Telecommunication (Cable) installing cable modems, HDTV converters, and home networks (wired and wireless).  Well this past week I was promoted to a management position after being with the company for just over a year.  The person that I was up against had been with the company a little longer than I, so I was a bit surprised that I got the job. When I asked the Project Manager why I was chosen over the other candidate, he said that it was because I was certified in Copper and Fiber Optic networking.

Thank you C-Tech and Houston Community College for providing me the skills that I needed to be placed ahead of the line.

Lyndsey  B., Network Cabling Specialist, NY
The C-Tech course was very beneficial and interesting.  I found that out of the entire computer field, cabling is the path I would love to take in life.  I like working with my hands and being able to see a finished product when I am done.  It's a great feeling!  This course was wonderful!

Nikole B., Network Cabling Specialist, NY
I have decided to go for the Network Wiring Certificate Program offered by LaGuardia Community College.   The value of the C-Tech program to me means advancement in my career.  Right now I am pretty much strapped for cash and cannot afford a 4-year college.  This program gives me the technical tools I need for job and career advancement at a price I can afford.

Cesar G., Network Cabling Specialist, CA
I believe the C-Tech program is a good educational tool to get your foot in the door for a lot of telecommunication companies. In times when the economy is at a falling point, I really believe an education or certification course can help you boost your resume.

Bryan H., Network Cabling Specialist, CA
The value it provides for me is that I am learning in a field that I can excel at. I have always been fascinated with electrical and the electronics field. I love to take it apart and put back together again. So to answer the question, the C-Tech programs were a great value and I would love to expand my knowledge.

Arian K., Network Cabling Specialist, CA
I have really enjoyed the skills that I have acquired by passing the C-Tech Voice and Data cabling and getting certified. That's why I am looking for more C-Tech classes and certificates.

Wiston G., Network Cabling Specialist, CA
I'd like to enhance my skills as well as to learn new technologies. Perhaps, in the future, I will open my own small telecommunication business.

Antonio R., Network Cabling Specialist, NJ
I'm currently not working in the computer/cabling field but have put my skills to good use for my own personal use at home.  I believe the programs are very valuable.

Philip L., Network Cabling Specialist
I feel the course was well done! I have been a communications/electronics tech installer for over 16 years. Telecom has been my field for the last five years. This is an excellent course for a beginner and and should be a requirement for the mass of untrained folks allowed to “collect a paycheck” in this field.

Darran T.,  Network Cabling Specialist
Extremely beneficial to me. I enjoyed the challenge and a new dimension opened up to me. I truly recommend this course to anyone in the communications field. "It's a MUST."

Willie D., Network Cabling Specialist
When I got out of high school, all I had was my driver's license. I couldn't get a job. After my C-Tech Certification I successfully got a job. I was there for about a year, and then I came to the company where I am now. I like what I am doing and would like to thank C-Tech.

Duana C., Network Cabling Specialist and Certified Instructor at LaGuardia Community College, NY
I received my C-Tech certification 3 years ago. I have since worked various jobs in cabling. Now, in addition to working in the field, I teach the course and really enjoy working with the students, especially the teenagers. C-Tech is the best laid out course I have seen for teaching and for learning. There's nothing hard about it, all you need is the desire.

Cory W., Network Cabling Specialist
When I graduated from high school, I went into the Army for 4 years. After that, I went to college, but really didn't like what I was studying. I stopped going to college and started working jobs. I was working in a warehouse for 2 years when I realized this wasn’t going anywhere. Through the JTPA I was able to take the C-Tech course. After receiving my certification, I started working for NAT. I really enjoy what I am doing and I am grateful to C-Tech for the opportunity they provided me.

Susan M., Network Cabling Specialist
After 15 years as a manager in the financial services field, I decided I needed a career change. I enrolled in the C-Tech certification course as part of a Women’s Non-Traditional Skills program at LaGuardia Community College two years ago. The C-Tech program was a great steppingstone. At first I worked alongside the men pulling and terminating cable. Now, I work in software development as it relates to network cabling. I think this was a great course and I would like to see more women get involved.

Connie S. Tallahassee Community College
Extremely beneficial. Provided a sound foundation and knowledge base for our advanced networking courses.

Cory J., Essex County Vo-Tech High School
This course was beneficial to me getting into Stevens Institute of Technology.

Kenneth B., Sopchoppy Education Center
Very informative and quite user friendly. At age 42 I'm trying to go from the grocery business to a technical field and I really had my doubts, but I did quite well. A real confidence builder - Thanks!

Rosalinda M., Los Angeles Trade-Technical College
Very fun and I learned something new. Definitely the course exceeded my expectations.

Scotty H., Tennessee Technology Center
Super! I really enjoyed learning these new skills. I feel that this opened a new opportunity for me and the others that completed the course. I am going to school for another quarter because my instructor has recently become certified in the Fiber Optics. Thank your for making it possible for us to be certified in these fields.

Darlena C., LaGuardia Comm.College/Family Institute
The course was a series of assertive risk taking activities. They were very challenging experiences of successful problem solving responsibility and accepting the consequences, which foster a sense of accomplishment!

David R., Johnson & Wales University
Exciting. Glad I chose the course. Something I've been interested in quite some time. We need other similar courses to keep us aware of the ever changing technology. Hoping to gain employment with this knowledge.

George H., Joliet Junior College
Very good continuing education skills for my electrical career.

Lelowaitie S., LaGuardia Community College
A good help and inspiration to me. I love working with my hands and I am a quick learner and love a challenge and this was a great one for me.

NOTE: Lelowaitie was part of the team that wired the Statue of Liberty with Fiber Optics
