C-Tech’s Integrated Systems: Voice & Messaging (ISVM) provides students with both a theoretical and hands-on knowledge of Key Telephone Systems and Voice Mail. Key Systems are the telephone switches found in small and medium-sized businesses, about 85% of all business in the US. The overwhelming majority of these systems (95%) also have voice mail installed. The skills taught in ISVM are practical and in-demand.
Students are taught to install, program, maintain, and upgrade these systems by completing project-based activities. The ISVM program meets industry standards for certification of installation and repair of Key Systems, and it’s 75% hands-on. The course is non-manufacturer-specific (a real telephone switch is used, but provision is made for the practices of other manufacturers) and thus can lead to jobs with a variety of employers.
We at C-Tech call this short-term certification program “The Next Step” because it’s the perfect follow-up to C-Tech’s PREP program—a practical application of the skills learned in PREP. Along the way they learn teamwork, troubleshooting, and customer relations. In addition to C-Tech PREP graduates, this program is a perfect fit for techs seeking to broaden their knowledge, IT Directors whose responsibilities include the company telephones, and homeowners who seek to include such a switch in their houses (as is becoming increasingly common).
Each student who successfully completes Integrated Systems: Voice & Messaging receives certification as a Voice Communication Professional.
