Certified Instructors Return to Nigeria

With New Skills

C-Tech’s Sparta office was host to two visitors representing the Jigawa State, Nigeria.  Both individuals are professors in the local College of Engineering and Technology and were here to participate in our training for all of C-Tech's Certified Communications Networking programs.  Having been successfully certified as instructors they will be taking this knowledge back to their native country.

Nigeria is about the size of Texas with 120 million people with a growing demand for trained telecommunications workforce.  C-Tech is proud to help them with their Fiber and Copper networking and telephone skills that their nation will need to help support their growing technology needs.

In addition to increasing their technical knowledge, our two new certified instructors broadened their horizons on their first trip to the United States.  They took a trip to New York City, went bowling, and tried some typically American food, including pizza (thumbs up), Chinese food (thumbs up) and root beer (thumbs down).  The also came bearing gifts: traditional Nigerian clothing for C-Tech President Bill Brady, and International Marketing Director Ken Lowenstein.

Here’s what one of them said:  “It had been an unforgettable experience with you during our stay in territorial United States.  We will never forget the efforts you made towards this development and we highly appreciated the way we were trained, treated, and cared for by all the members of your establishment. We also appreciated the hospitality and brotherhood offered to us before and during our stay with you.”  It should be noted that these students shared their training experiences with Tim Young from the Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center in Kentucky.

In the past months C-Tech has gone international. We are expanding our courses in Africa, not only in Nigeria, but also in Cameroon. We have been making overtures in Mexico, and our products have been warmly received worldwide as the demand for our skills-based programs are recognized.   In the future, we will see more individuals seeking training from faraway lands.
