International Students Visit C-TechSparta, New Jersey C-Tech was pleased to host eleven Nigerian students along with eight American students, from East New York Family Academy in Brooklyn, New York. The Nigerian students were all part of an exchange program run by the Academy’s Certified C-Tech Instructor, who made it a point to include a visit to C-Tech in his one-month program. While at C-Tech, the students terminated Unshielded Twisted Pair cables, performed punch downs, created a network and finally, installed and programmed telephones and switches. Their excitement at getting the phone system to work was overwhelming.
David Brady, Director of Marketing, works with a visiting Nigerian student Accompanying the students were six teachers from Nigeria and New York. Also on hand to greet students and teachers was Sussex County Freeholder Harold Wirths, who offered them all a warm welcome to Sussex County.
Getting Ready to Test Comments from the students were uniformly positive, with words like “fun”, “exciting”, and “enlightening” popping up frequently. According to their host instructor the students felt “It was the highlight of their visit”.
