Support Women in Technology

Female C-Tech Certified Cabling Specialists in the New York City area have a chance to participate in a job fair especially for them.

Time Warner, the largest cable TV provider in the world, will be hosting a “Women in Technology” event on Wednesday June 25th from 9:00 am-4:00 pm at 41-61 Kissena Blvd, Flushing, New York.  They have asked C-Tech to help identify likely candidates from its pool of woman graduates, and we’re happy to help.

They came to the right place.  Certified female graduates of C-Tech programs represent 12% of total graduates, considerably more than the National average of 4% women in IT.  Time Warner Cable feels these women graduates will be fine additions to their Technical Operations area.

Time Warner Cable is the largest cable provider in the world. They serve over one million customers throughout Manhattan, Queens, parts of Brooklyn, Staten Island, Mt Vernon and Bergen NJ.  They’re an equal-opportunity employer, but the emphasis this time is on women.

Time Warner Cable recognizes the value of a C-Tech certificate, and that’s why they’ve partnered with us in this effort. C-Tech and Time Warner Cable will be jointly mailing invitations to these female graduates to explore career opportunities in Time Warner Cable’s Technical Operations area.

In addition, Time Warner Cable holds an Open House for prospective sales representatives every Tuesday at the Kissena Blvd. site every Tuesday from 10 AM to 5 PM.
