Fiber optic systems have been used in aerospace system for more than 10 years. The first systems we designed mainly for military applications. Most recently, both Boeing and Airbus have been testing custom optical systems for monitoring purposes such as taxi camera sensors. This experience helped prove the reliability of fiber optic connectors in the very specific environment of an airplane.

Video Goes IP!
Video applications that were traditionally
run in closed circuit environments and stored on VHS cassettes have grown
into full IP applications. Providing video services over data cabling is
another converged application. The additional capabilities have given video
the boost that disk to disk backups give data recovery including random
