C-Tech Enters
International Market
The need for certified
training in network cabling, fiber and integrated systems continues to
expand not only here in the USA, but globally as well. Last month, we
delivered initial orders for our PREP and ISVM programs to Nigeria and
Cameroon, both located on the continent of Africa. In Nigeria these programs
will be implemented by AFTRAC in the Jigawa State. His Excellency Governor
Ibrahim Saminu Turaki of Jigawa elected to implement these programs after
visiting our display at last year’s CeBIT (see related story) event. They
will be used to prepare students to meet the needs of Nigeria’s
telecommunications growth. Nigeria’s infrastructure is slated to receive a
further capital injection of some $6 billion.
In the neighboring West
African nation of Cameroon, the Association for Support to Women
Entrepreneurs (ASAFE), a non-profit organization principally involved in
training young people especially women in ITC, has begun to implement
C-Tech’s programs. [ITC is the acronym for Information Technology and
Communications and is the global synonym for what we refer to in the US as
IT.]
The initial Certified
Training Facility has been established in the city of Douala under the
leadership of Gisele Yitamben, founder and Executive Director of ASAFE. Ms. Yitamben has been recognized for her efforts worldwide, and we are very
pleased that she has selected the PREP program.
