C-Tech to Assist NYC Schools:
The Reform of Career & Technical Education
C-Tech is proud to take an active role in the reform of Career & Technical Education in the New York City School System by providing the backbone certified curricula and services needed for this initiative. The original Request for Proposal (RFP#1B978) also specifies a need for better School-Industry partnerships. C-Tech’s industry partners, Program Recognizers and Supporters, can vouch for C-Tech's active role in helping to achieve these goals. Another issue that we at C-Tech focus on is the need for articulation between the middle school grades and the certification track in the high schools. Our Communications Pathways Series™ (see related article, "Bringing it Down a Notch") does just that -- turning younger students on to Technology and Science through innovative, hands-on Telecommunications activities and curricula.
