Begin Articulation with
Introduction To Telecommunications

If you are not yet offering our Introduction To Telecommunications program, now may be the time to act!  This program is Tier 1 of C-TECH PREP, an investigation into the World of Communications Networking.  It is the perfect IT program to implement articulation agreements with your local middle schools and high schools.  As a 40-hour course, it fits very nicely into a Quarter.  Students can begin to develop in interest in the technology and then move into your Copper and Fiber Optic programs.

This program begins to build the foundation for all IT programs by providing an overview of communications from smoke signals through cellular technology.  Students are introduced to Copper, Fiber Optic and Wireless technologies while developing Critical Thinking and Problem Solving skills.  Students also complete hands-on terminations and troubleshoot, utilizing our Interactive Telecommunications Board.

This program not only serves as a feed-in to our Copper-Based program, but can be offered stand-alone to provide insight into the industry.  Consider using the program to train local Real Estate agents on the technologies currently being installed in one-third of all newly constructed homes.  Provide them with the background to better "sell" their product.  The program is currently being offered in high school, community colleges and other training centers across the county.  For example, Sandersville Technical  College, GA, replaced an existing CIS course with this curriculum.

For as little as $2,000 (if you already own the ITB, $4,895 if you do not), you can begin to provide this proven program to the majority of your student population.  The program is also available in Spanish/English version.

Enhance your Electronics/Science Programs

How many old movies or TV shows have you seen in which some vital piece of information is sent by telegraph?  The operator clicks the key, and hundreds of miles away, the important message is received.  The train is saved from the burnt-out bridge; the cavalry is called to the rescue; the secret agent’s message gets safely to headquarters.

Your students can be a part of this excitement, and own a piece of history, with C-Tech’s TAP (Telegraph Activity Project). With this kit, students can create their own telegraph system.  In each package, teachers receive enough materials for two telegraph keys and fifteen feet of cable to connect them, enough to reach from room to room.  Complete instructions are enclosed, along with all the tools needed, and a copy of the Morse Code.  Students can send and receive messages no one else can understand.  Establish the foundation for "text messaging," you know: lol, brb, etc.

Each Kit (Part # S-E100) is only $99.95, including Shipping and Handling.

Update your Fiber Program with
Innovative Microscope

Not yet ready to upgrade your Introduction To Fiber Optics ― The Physical Layer program?  Take advantage of this opportunity to incorporate C-Tech Computer-Based Fiber Optic Microscope into your program.  For only $750, you will be able to take "snapshots" of your students' Fiber terminations and then save the images to disk and archive them for future use or a career portfolio.  Using an LCD projector you can project the images on a screen and show the progression of the termination process.  Additionally, you can provide printouts to students of the results of their termination tests.
